Restaurants, food processing plants, industrial use
— charcoal supply built for professionals.
The right charcoal for each kind of work.

We started out buying and reselling, and were not satisfied with the quality of the charcoal available. During the great floods of 2011 our founder taught himself charcoal making, designed a kiln, laid the firebrick himself, and fired charcoal of the highest quality.
Because we understand which wood, fired which way, produces which kind of heat, we can judge and recommend at a level that is difficult for others to match.
We burn-test repeatedly and use only the charcoal that passes. We are not a trading company — we manage quality with a charcoal maker's eye.

We have never once made a cold call. Our first customer was Ootoya. They were stuck without charcoal, we helped, and that was the beginning of the relationship. Ootoya's success went on to open the door to the Japanese food boom in Thailand.
Many of the Japanese restaurants that followed left charcoal until last. They would buy some at the market just before opening night, only to find it smoked and was unusable.
When they asked around for someone who handled charcoal properly, chefs and owners started passing the same answer along: “Yatagai does.”
We have grown our share on referrals alone ever since. Food processing plants trying to reproduce a famous restaurant's flavor come to us asking for “the same charcoal that restaurant uses.” That is what trust looks like, in our line of work.

Beyond supplying charcoal grill restaurants, we deliver reliably to food processing plants where variation is not an option, and we source specialized industrial charcoal for uses such as non-ferrous metal works.

2011, the year the great floods hit Thailand. Unsatisfied with the charcoal he could buy,
our founder taught himself to fire it and built the kiln with his own hands.

We do not sell to the general public. We propose the right charcoal for each industry's use, individually, together with a price list.
